Performance
Subaru has
given the Outback Wilderness a turbocharged 2.4-liter engine. It's capable of
pumping out 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. To help you deal with
uneven terrain, the Wilderness's transmission has been tweaked to do a better
job when climbing steep slopes. If you have to tow cargo around Manchester, CT
and South Windsor, CT, the Outback Wilderness will be prepared. It can tow up
to 3,500 pounds, allowing you to bring all kinds of gear. Also, note that the
Wilderness features a dual-function X-MODE program. It has settings for
dirt/snow and deep snow/mud, so you'll be ready for tough conditions.
Technology
In the
cabin of the Outback Wilderness, you'll find an 11.6-inch touchscreen. This
touchscreen is set up with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and
SiriusXM. It also offers Wi-Fi capability. With these programs, you'll have
access to a lot of information, various apps, and many entertainment options to
consider. The Harman Kardon premium sound system, which consists of 12
speakers, is a nice improvement over the Outback's standard six-speaker sound
system. In addition, the Wilderness can be upgraded with integrated navigation.
Navigation can make finding your way to new destinations easier and help you
avoid getting stuck in Glastonbury, CT traffic.
Interior
and Exterior
Like the
other Outback options at Suburban Subaru, the Wilderness features a spacious
cabin. In the front row, you'll have almost 43 inches of legroom. In the second
row, your passengers can stretch out, taking advantage of about 40 inches of legroom.
The rear cargo area offers plenty of space for your cargo, but lower the rear
seats if you need more space. This would result in more than 75 cubic feet of
storage space.
The Outback
Wilderness can treat you to high-end amenities. It's been set up with a ten-way
power-adjustable driver's seat and an eight-way power-adjustable front
passenger's seat. Both seats are heated, and the rear outboard seats are
heated, too. Feel free to go on fun adventures and get dirty in your Outback
Wilderness. It has StarTex upholstery, which is easy to wipe down and keep
clean.
Outside
the Outback Wilderness, you'll notice many special elements. It has a front
skid plate, revised bumpers that can help with maneuverability, and a ground
clearance of 9.5 inches. It rides on black aluminum alloy wheels and
all-terrain tires, and it comes with raised roof rails that can hold quite a
bit of weight. The anti-glare hood decal can prove useful on sunny days in
Hartford, CT and Tolland, CT. Its matte-black finish matches the other black
accents on the Outback Wilderness, and it contrasts with the pops of Anodized
Copper integrated into certain spots on the outside of the
Wilderness.
Other
Features
Subaru has
designed the Outback Wilderness with safety in mind. With its driver-assist
technologies, it can alert you to concerning situations. For example, it can
warn you about potential frontal collisions and unintentional lane departures,
and it can let you know if there's a vehicle in one of your blind spots. It
also can hit the brakes and adjust your steering if the situation calls for
it.
