Our Service Manager, Rick Manas, has been recognized as one of only six winners nationwide of the prestigious Subaru Shining Star Award. Rick was honored on stage at the Subaru National Business Conference in Boston, MA, where he was celebrated for his outstanding commitment to customers, teammates, and the community. 

Out of 640 dealerships and more than 4,000 Subaru employees across the country, Rick's dedication has truly set him apart.At the conference, Rick had the honor of being recognized alongside Subaru of America's corporate leadership team, Subaru of New England's leadership, and members of Subaru's Love Promise University team-making this moment even more special.

Over 35 Years of Service

Rick has been part of Suburban Subaru since 1989, beginning as a lot attendant and working his way up to lead one of the busiest Subaru service departments in New England. Over his 35+ years here, he has earned the respect of both customers and colleagues, mentoring countless team members and ensuring that everyone who walks through our doors feels valued and cared for.

What makes Rick truly special is not only his commitment to exceptional service, but also his heart for the community. For more than 25 years, he has partnered with the local Fire Department on their annual Toys for Tykes program, helping bring joy to children during the holidays. He has also coordinated training for first responders on new Subaru technologies-such as the all-electric Solterra-to help keep our community safe.

Rick's customer care goes above and beyond.

As one longtime Subaru owner recently shared after experiencing a late-night vehicle issue: "Rick immediately put my mind at ease, arranged everything for me, and even had my car delivered back to my home once the repair was complete. This level of customer service is exceptional and I am incredibly grateful for the care and attention Rick showed me."
