Thank you to Everyone who came out to help us make our 2nd Annual Fujitani-Julian Fishing Derby a sucess.

Attention Junior anglers! This is your exclusive chance to cast a line and create lasting memories at the 2nd Annual Fujitani-Julian Fishing Derby on May 4th, 2025.

We're bringing the fun to the Hockunum River at Vernon Golfland. Suburban Subaru is stocking the river with 150 trout, just waiting to be hooked.

No license is required, just bring your child aged 13 and under along with their love for fishing, fishing pole or fly rod, bait & tackle.

Prizes will be awarded for the most caught and the largest catch.

Start your journey by parking at the Rocking Horse Smokehouse at 57 Hartford Tpke, head over to the tent and register your fisherman. Grab a cup of coffee and donut provided by the Ellington Dunkin Donuts, cross the footbridge and follow the path to the riverbank on the par 3 course to find your perfect fishing spot.

Need something quick to eat so you can get back to the river, a short walk to the Vernon Subway and enjoy free chips and a 20 oz drink with the purchase of any sandwich.

Rain or Shine! Take advantage of this splashtastic event and enjoy a free scoop of ice cream courtesy of Coneheads for all registrants.
