As the leaves change color and temperatures drop, it is time to prepare your Subaru for the season ahead. Fall maintenance helps keep your vehicle running well throughout Connecticut's colder months. At Suburban Subaru in Vernon, CT, our service team is ready to help you get your car in great shape before winter arrives.
Check Your Tires Before the Cold Sets In
Your tires are one of the most important parts of your vehicle when roads get wet and slippery. Make sure to look at your tire tread depth and air pressure regularly. Cold air can cause your tire's pressure to drop, which affects how your car drives. Drivers near Tolland, CT should consider switching to winter tires for better traction on icy roads. Visit our tire center to learn more about your options.
Fluid Levels and Battery Health Matter
Fall is a good time to check all your fluid levels. This includes engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, and windshield washer fluid. Your battery also needs attention since cold weather can drain its power faster. Many drivers near Glastonbury, CT have experienced a dead battery on a cold morning. Having your battery tested now can save you from trouble later. Check out our Subaru service menu to see what maintenance services are available.
Brakes, Wipers, and Safety Checks
Your brakes need to work well on wet leaves and slick roads. Have one of our technicians examine your brake pads and rotors this fall. Windshield wipers also wear out over time, so replace them if they leave streaks. Drivers near Manchester, CT know how important clear visibility is during fall rainstorms. You should also check for any open Subaru recalls to make sure your vehicle meets safety standards.
